Christmas parties galore!!!!

Kassidy on Santa's lap
Kruz on Santa's lap

This is how they looked to go get pics with Santa.... so cute so I had to take pics

Kruz's Gingerbread house

So on Saturday Dec. 18th my family had our annual Christmas party... it was a little different this year because my aunt Tina and mom threw the party because my grandpa was in Arizona with my aunt julie who just had a double mastectomy(she has breast cancer and had them removed). The party was a blast, we ate yummy food, played lots of fun games, and Santa came to give the little ones a toy. Kassidy was great with her first Santa experience, and Kruz was ecstatic he was there. Then on Dec. 19th my mom had her gingerbread house making party. Before we went to my mom's house we decided to stop by the mall to get the kids picture taken with Santa... we stood in line for 20 mins and of course Santa decided to take his hour long lunch right then, so we are going back on Thursday. Kruz wasn't feeling too great, but he still had fun making his gingerbread house.... which turned out awesome!!!!

At 4:00 AM on Monday morning Kruz woke me up with a sore throat and a fever of 103.9, so we waited for his doc office to open and got him right in. Guess what he has.... INFLUENZA A. Guess what else... it is HIGHLY contagious AND they cannot give Kassidy the shot because she is too young. They did however make me get the shot... but I think it was too late because I am really sick this morning and Kassidy has a fever and a cough so I think all of us have influenza now. Since it is a virus there is nothing they can do for it... so please, keep your fingers crossed that all of us get better for the holidays. The docs did say that it is not contagious though if you don't have a fever.

We bought a house!!!!

Well as of last Thursday Dec. 9th, we are home owner's :). We have been looking for house since September and found a few that we put offers in on, but they either denied the offer or they took to long to long to let us know. We found this amazing deal on a house that was not a short sale and looked at it back in the middle of November. We loved it and so did Kruz, so we put an offer in on it and they accepted it. It is located around 2700 W. 5600 S. It was owned by old people so there is wall paper over EVERYTHING!!! It is in pretty good condition... just needs to be updated. We started peeling off wall paper over the weekend, and luckily we bought a steamer to do it, because that thing is AMAZING!!! We still have to build 2 walls, put in new floors and carpets, paint and then it will look how we want it to look :). I am soooo excited. oh and the best part about it..... it is sitting on a quarter acre, so the backyard is huge!!Kruz is sooo excited to have a yard that he can play in and not worry about dog poop(we are going to build them a dog run). We still have lots of work to do.... but it is sooo exciting!!!!

Thanksgiving and more.....

Kassidy with her ears pierced
Our Thanksgiving family pic... minus Kruz :(

Kassidy's first Thanksgiving

WOW!!! It's been awhile since I posted. Well Kassidy is now 3 1/2 months old and is growing sooo much. She is such a good baby. We got her ears pierced on November 24th and she did sooo good and they look soo cute!!! She had her first Thanksgiving, I wish it was our holiday with Kruz so we could have gotten a family pic of all of us on her first Thanksgiving, but my ex had him. This year we went to Dave's families Thanksgiving since we went to my mom's last year. We are trading every year because it is too hard to go to 2 places that day. Kruz was bummed he didn't get to spend the holiday with us, but he had fun at his dad's.

Kruz is such a good big brother!! He loves to hold her and help feed her. He loves seeing her everyday and is amazed and how much she is learning. She is already trying to sit up on her own, she laughs all the time and just has the cutest personality. We had to take her to the doctor's because her eye was stuck shut 2 mornings in a row and she was sooo congested she was having a hard time breathing. Turns out she had pink eye and a severe cold, they had to do a deep suction in her nose, and if any of you have had your kids do that you know how sad and awful that is.

Well I don't have that many pics, because my camera was lost for awhile.... I have lots on my phone, but have no clue how to put them on here. When I figure it out I will hav a blog post on just the pics from my phone :). Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for Christmas

2 months old!!!

Well Kassidy will be 9 weeks old tomorrow, I can't believe she is already 2 months old!!! It's so sad. She had her well check visit today which of course included shots :(. She weighs 10.4 pounds, and is 22 inches long. Her weight, head, and length are all in the 50-60%, so the doc said she is a perfect baby :). She does however have severe acid reflux so we have to put her on some Zantac. She said that should make it go away in 2 months.... I really hope so, she spits up TONS!!!! She had 2 shots and then had to take something orally. She tried to be so brave after she had her shots and just laid there with a frowny face and tears in her eyes, then she started screaming. I had forgotten how sad it is to get their shots done. Here is a pic of her while we were getting ready to leave the doctor's office.

Pumpkin party

Kassidy on her first camping trip
First camping trip

On October 9th my grandpa had his annual pumpkin party. He has lots of pumpkins that he grows every year that we get to pick out and we eat yummy food and just hang out with family. This year was different because of getting all muddy and pulling the pumpkins off the stems ourselves, my grandpa spent the following few days doing it. Dave was hunting so he didn't get to go, but Kruz, Kassidy and I chose out lots of good pumpkins to carve. We did a little photo shoot, but they didn't turn out as good as I wanted because Kassidy would not cooperate.

Then the following weekend Dave went back up hunting, but since it was supposed to be pretty decent weather Kassidy and I decided we would go up there with him. It is so much harder to pack for a baby... especially when you have never taken a baby camping before!!!! I brought SOOOOOO much stuff. I was a little anal about her staying warm so I turned our heater in the trailer up to 75 and then had a space heater on by her too.... I did not want her to get sick LOL. She did so good up there. She was calm and just loved being up in the mountains. Even though we stayed in the trailer most the weekend she still loved it!!! Luckily we didn't have to worry about the dogs because my awesome sis-in-law watched them for us... and of course the day we came home Roxsie had an allergic reaction at her house and her eye started swelling, it's always something with that dog LOL.

Introducing.......

So I have been REALLY busy and have not yet posted a blog about my baby girl. Kassidy Lin Johnson was born on August 28, 2010 at 9:01 PM. We woke up that morning at 6:30 AM, because we were supposed to be at the hospital at 7:00 AM to start the induction. They called us 15 mins before we left and said they didn't have room and they would call us before 9 to let us know when to come in, 4 hours later and they called and told us to come in at noon. When we got there they imediatley got us in a room and started the pitocin and 20 mins later my doctor came in and broke my water. Everything was going great until I started feeling my contractions and the nurse said that the anesthesia guy was not in the hospital and would take a half hour to get there, so I told her to call him and tell him to start heading our way.

He got there and gave me the epidural, which made the pain go away... but it started LOTS of other problems with me and Kassidy. A few minutes after I got the epidural Kassidy's heartrate kept dropping into the teens so they would have to keep coming in and turning me from side to side. Then out of no where I started feeling really really tired and dizzy, and almost passed out, the reasoning for that you ask???? My heartrate dropped to 62/34 and they had to rush in and give me a shot of epinephran. It slowly increased after that but would only get as high as 90/64, and they could not stabalize Kassidy's heartrate, so my doc came in and told me that the safest thing to do was to have an emergency c-section. I knew deep down since I was 3 months along that I would have to have a c-section, but it was still hard to hear. The doctor went over ALL the risks which I knew, but it still made me even more scared. I got really upset and started bawling, which made Dave get upset. He was trying to hide it from me, but he was scared and nervous. He kept his cool and kept reassuring me that everything would be fine and we would be able to see our baby girl in a few minutes.

They wheeled me into the OR and made Dave get on the doctor scrubs and mask and got me all prepped. It was a very weird sensation that is very hard to explain, but after 10 minutes of them cutting and pushing her out she made her first appearance to the world. She started crying right off the bat, but she was PERFECT!!!!! Dave went and took pics while they sewed me up and cleaned Kassidy up. Then finally I got to see my beautiful baby girl. The pain from the c-section was unbearable, but I would do it all over again. She has been a wonderful baby who is already on a schedule and sleeps throughout most the night. Dave has been a GREAT help and is a WONDERFUL daddy, and Kruz is the best big brother a sister could ask for.

pre-eclampsia

Well just wanted to update those few people who actually read this... I went in for my regular weekly visit today and my blood pressure was 147/94, which is very high!!! The doc looked at my ankles and wrists which have been extremely swollen the last 2 weeks, but they won't go down at all now and I am starting to have blurred vision and bad head aches. He said that I have pre-eclampsia and will need to be on bedrest for 2 days. I have to go back to the doctors on Friday to have my blood pressure checked again and if it is still high they are going to send me to the ER to have the baby. If not they want to induce me on Saturday regardless because of the swelling. So I will now be getting induced in 2 or 3 days depending on how my blood pressure turns out on Friday. I will keep ya all posted!!!

WORST NIGHT EVER!!!

So yesterday was shaping up to be an AWESOME day!!! Dave took me for some mexican food( I had been craving it and I heard it can possibly start labor), then after that we went to babies r' us and got our bassinet/playpen. That was the last big thing we needed for the arrival of Kassidy. We then drove up to my ex mother-in-laws house to get Kruz for my neices 13th birthday party. My sis-in-law had a BBQ and of course cake...best part of any birthday party. She made the cake though and it is SOOOO yummy, it is chocolate with peanut butter frosting and she put twix bars around the side and reeses peices on the top.... soooo good!!! At the party she gave me some castor oil since I have been wanting to try it to see if it would help me go into labor.... I am so done with this pregnancy and just wanna see my baby LOL.

Well on our way home Dave and I discussed that it would just be easier for me to do a shot of the stuff and chase it with cherry coke, so we stopped at the gas station and got home at about 7. I poured the 2 oz. in a cup(that is what every website I looked at suggested for the amount), I had no clue that it was sooo thick!!! Of course I couldn't do a shot of it with it being that thick, so I mixed it with milk..............It was AWEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gagged it down and drank my cherry coke as fast as I could. After an hour I felt nothing so I told Dave that nothing was going to happen, even what it is usually meant for, which for those of you who don't know... it is meant to make you poop. Dave started joking around that I was going to have the worst diarrhea and he would make fun of me for thinking this would work and all I got out of it was the shits. We went and laid in bed at 9:30 and nothing was happening so I figured I was in the clear. I turned off the tv at 11 and by 11:30 my stomache was making the worst noises I have ever heard it make before :(. I am not going to go into details, but I was in the bathroom ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! So embarrassing because Dave woke up to me crying on our bed and I told him what was wrong... for those of you who know me, I have never even farted in front of him before, so telling him what was going on killed me!!!! We started to get worried since Kassidy wasn't moving at all and I couldn't keep water down, at 2:30 Dave said we were going to the ER if i couldn't hold water down and if my fever didn't break... so luckily it did and I was able to stay out of the bathroom and get 2 hours of sleep. So moral to the story is DO NOT TAKE CASTOR OIL EVER!!!!! It was the WORST night I have ever had!!!! So no more trying any old wives tales for me... I am just going to wait the 7 and 1/2 days that I have left.

I have a doc appt. on Wednesday, so hopefully I have dilated more... I will keep ya all posted :) wish me luck!!!

12 days!!!

Well, I have 12 days until little Kassidy comes(unless she decides to come early, which I doubt). At my last doc visit on Tuesday I was still only 1.5 centimeters dilated, but I am now 70% effaced :). I am excited for this Saturday, I have another shower that my mother-in-law and sis-in-law are throwing for me. Hopefully after that I will have most the stuff I need....but if not it gives me a good excuse to go shopping LOL!!! I just can't believe how fast this 9 months has gone by, but these last 12 days are starting to go by slow. I have been walking around and dancing a lot to see if it helps me dilate more, cross your fingers :). Well that is all I can think to type right now. Hope everyone is doing well!!

HAVIN A BABY!!!

Well as of right now I am 36 weeks and 1 day, but guess what????? I will be having a baby in 20 days, yeah you read that right!!! We went and did an ultrasound yeseterday to see how big our baby Kassidy was and her head is HUGE... it is measuring at 40 weeks :(, but on the up side she is only about 6 pounds 9 ounces. So she will be a bobble head just like her daddy was when he was a baby LOL. They checked me and I was dialated to 1.5 centimeters and 40% effaced, and then they called over to Jordan Valley Hospital and scheduled my induction date.... August 31st. OMG I can't believe she is almost here!!!! We are so ready emotionally and physcially, but we don't have her crib set up, house clean, clothes washed... I feel like I have sooo much to do and not much time. Dave has been an awesome husband, he has been trying his hardest to do whatever he can so I don't stress. If he ever reads this I just want him to know how much I love and appreciate EVERYTHING he does for me. Well since I have been slacking, I will probably not post till after the baby... but who knows maybe I will change my ways :). wish me luck!!!

Where to even start?????

WOW!!!!! So much has happened since I last posted. We will start off with the most recent and work our way back... make things much easier for me LOL!!! Well yesterday Dave started his new work schedule that none of the shop is too excited for and it's actually pretty dumb, instead of 4 ten hour days and either having Friday or Monday off they are making all the guys work 8-5 M-F. I know this doesn't sound too bad, except they are used to going in at 6 working till 5 and having Friday off, so it really sucks!!! Dave started his morning off going to the gym and then came home, got ready and hopped on his motorcycle. About 10 mins after he left I got a call from him saying that he had just been in an accident, I was shocked and asked if he was ok and he said that everyone was telling him he needed to go to the hospital. He needed me to come get him since the bike could not be driven and of course I was making him go to the er to get checked out!!! What happened is a guy with a flat bed work truck pulled out in front of Dave while Dave was coming through an intersection and he couldn't stop in time so instead of Dave hitting his head on the flat bed of the truck and probably dying he laid the bike down, flipped over it and hit his head on the asphalt first, then put his arm to block the road and got road rash all over his shoulder, elbow, and knee. Luckily nothing was wrong with his head only had a goose egg and road rash since he was not wearing a helmet. I could and should be planning a funeral right now. They got us right back in an ER room and they came in and started checking for broken bones and said his elbow felt fractured and they wanted to make sure his hip was not broken since it was hurting him the most. They did X-rays and everything was fine... no broken bones. they then proceeded to tell him that the next part was going to be the most painful thing he has EVER experienced... they had to scrub out all the gravel in his road rash. It was so hard to sit there watching Dave be in that much pain, but I was just glad he was still with me.

Next on our list is Kruz's 6th birthday party... we had a few close friends and family come to his celebration on sunday the 11th, his birthday is actually the 14th, but we won't have him. We had some pizza and cake and ice cream of course. Kruz got to pick out his cake this year instead of me getting my fav... he did a really good job picking it out too... white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. He had a starwars the clone wars themed party so I bought some guys to put on it. He got spoiled again like usual, his favorite gift was the one daddy and I gave him... an I-pod shuffle. Like I said he is SPOILED!!!!

Last but not least.... I went into the doctor's on the 7th and found out I was right... this baby is going to be bigger than she should. I was supposed to be measuring 31 centimeters, but I am measuring at 33 centimeters and still growing, so when I am 35 weeks which is only 3 weeks away they will do an ultrasound to see when to schedule my induction, so Kassidy will be born sometime in August... I can't wait!!!

I have some prego pics, but they aren't too great... one Kruz did and the other is when we were camping so enjoy LOL.

Feeling fat!!!

So I am now in the second week of the 7th month... HOLY CRAP!!! Our little baby girl will be here in no time. Well I know I haven't posted pics of how big I am... I am trying to find the cord to my camera to upload them, but I am BIG!!! At least that is what EVERYONE tells me and ya know what it pisses me off LOL. I am so sick of tenants or total strangers asking how far along I am, so I tell them and they say "holy crap you are huge, that is going to be one big baby!!!" I wish people would understand that pregnant women go through so much emotionally and physically and we already feel ugly and fat(at least I do), it doesn't help hearing it ALL the time!!! It never used to bug me that much, but my emotions are getting the best of me this month so far.

On a happier note though... I think we have FINALLY picked out our angel's name. DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... We are pretty certain it is going to be Kassidy Lin Johnson :). We are for sure going to spell it with a K, but the rest of the spelling is up in the air. For those who know me they know I like unique names so I might change the spelling a little.. not sure though. I will try and post pics soon.

A New Bike

So yesterday Kruz had a big assembly after he got out of school, so I took him back since my aunt Tina told me he HAD to be there. It was a BIG raffel basically... except to get your name in the drawing you had to read, for every 100 mins you have read through out the year you got one ticket. Well Kruz reads 600 mins a month so he has been getting lots and lots of tickets!!! They had lots of small prizes such as games and balls, yo-yo's and then big prizes such as scooter, I-pods and bikes. Well since they were short on time they decided that for the bigger prizes they would draw them ahead of time and leave those till the end. The whole assembly Kruz was on edge wanting everything that had been called, of course he didn't get anything till the end when they did the big prizes. Kruz won a brand new nice gold and black bike and helmet. He was so excited he ran down the aisle way screaming and waving his hands in the air like he was the champion.

Dave and I never win anything... so maybe I should start taking Kruz to wendover with me or have him choose a powerball ticket LOL, maybe then I would win :). In other news, pregnancy is going GREAT!!! I am 25 weeks and can't wait to meet our little girl.

It's a...................GIRL!!!

So I went to my 20 week doc appt. yesterday and we did our ultrasound. I have been so sure that this baby was a boy, but guess what????? IT'S A GIRL!!!! I have wanted a girl for so long, but I thought it wouldn't happen until my 3rd child. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE told me that the baby was a girl and Kruz was adimant that he was having a sister... I didn't believe him though so when the lady announced it is a girl, Kruz was so excited!!! We haven't really thought of too many names... it is going to be hard to find one because I like unique names and Dave likes the everyday boring names, but we will find something that will fit for her. I will keep ya all posted on names and everything else. I am sooo excited to start shopping :)

Presenting the new Mrs. Johnson

So I am now officially Tiffani Lin Johnson :). Our wedding on March 13,2010 couldn't have been more perfect... Here's the story. I woke up in the morning and got all the crap loaded in my maid of honor's car, then we drove to I-Hop for some grub and met all my other girls there. After we ate and talked about how great today was going to be we walked outside to find that it was snowing like crazy. I started to get a little freaked out cause our hair appt's were right then and the storm didn't look like it was going anywhere and I didn't want our hair to get ruined. Well we drove to my friends new salon 9 in South Jordan(Daybreak to be exact), and all of us got our hair did. It was sooo much fun getting pampered and gossiping. After everyone's hair was done I realized I only had 3 hours till I married my best friend.... I started to get really bad anxiety and almost passed out.
We got to the ceremony/reception place and started loading everything in. My mom and aunt were just finishing with the decor... and let me tell you, it was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be and more. They truly captured my vision. So since all that was done we went up to the bridal room to get ready. An hour later we heard a knock on the door and the best man said he had a special delivery for me from Dave(hubby). He had bought me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers and typed a very heartfelt and emotional letter. Those of you who know Dave know that he is not a person who shares his feelings very often and this made it even more special.
After taking pics of us getting ready I soon realized the time had snuck past me and it was time to get married. We all grabbed our bouquets and headed down the elevator. The music started playing and soon I was left alone at the top of the stairs waiting for the officiant to tell everyone to rise and my music to start playing. I walked to the edge of the stairs and the music started and I could hear my little 5 year old calling my name from the bottom of the stairs(he was walking me down the aisle). We walked and turned a corner and there was Dave standing there tearing up trying not to cry. He looked killer in his tux.. as did all the men in the line. Kruz gave me away and we started our ceremony... poems, the vows, the ring exchange, the rose ceremony, and then a gift exchange for our little man Kruz. It felt like we were man and wife in to time!!! We walked down the aisle together to "another one bites the dust" and everyone came over to congratulate us. We took lots more pics before the reception started and then all of a sudden the room was getting more and more full of people.
Our reception was AMAZING!!! Great friends and family, great food, awesome photographer, and DJ... oh and the bartender was great too!!! We danced and sung and had a big old party and then all of a sudden the night was over. It went by sooo fast, which is good we are glad it is over, but it is also sad at the same time. Now we are onto a new adventure.... getting ready for another baby. We are so excited!!!!! I will post some wedding pics when I get them, or you can go onto www.mikesphoto.net and scroll to the bottom left side where it says order photos and type in Walker 031310 in the event code :)

3 MORE DAYS!!!!

OMG, we have 3 more days till we FINALLY get married!!!! I am pretty sure everything is done and ready to go, I just have to check my checklist like 5 more times to make sure. I really want everything to go smoothly that day... but I am sure there is bound to be something that goes wrong, and I am ok with that(depending on what it is). I just can't believe it is here already, I have been waiting a year and a half for this and it is 72 hours away....crazy!!! You know what else is crazy, I am 14 weeks along already. I have my doc appt. on March 17th and will only be 15 weeks, so they won't do an ultrasound... so that means we will have to wait another 4 weeks to find out what we are having. I am pretty sure it's a boy, and so is everybody else... and if it is I will be fine with that. Yes I really really really want a girl, but having a boy will be just as fun!! Well better get back to work.

11 Week doc appt.

So yesterday I went to my second doctor's appt. I am 11 weeks along and knew we should be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. We waited at the doc for almost an hour, got called back and then they put the doppler on my stomache. At first we didn't hear anything so I was starting to get nervous, but then we heard a very faint heartbeat and he moved it around and we were able to hear a very strong heartbeat.... YAY!!!!! He said it was at 168 BPM and said that was in the range of a girl heartbeat. WHATEVER!!! That is what they said about Kruz too so I am not going to think much about that LOL. The reason I wanted to hear the heartbeat so bad was because I didn't really feel like I was pregnant(except the sick part). Now I know that I am 100% pregnant no questions about that!!!! Wedding plans are almost done HOOORRRRAYYYYY. I have 3 weeks left until the big day. I have been a slacker on getting invites out, but I am doing that tonight and will send them out tomorrow or Friday. Well gotta get back to work... UGHHH

What is up!!!

Wow!!! It's been awhile since I have been on here.... well A LOT has happened the last month. Christmas was great and so was New Years. We just hung out with family and ate yummy food! Then after the holidays we got a HUGE unexpected present... we found out we are having a BABY!!! On January 5th (4 days after I was suppposed to start) I took 2 pregnancy tests and both of them came back positive, so I then decided to go to a free pregnancy test clinic and they said CONGRATS!!! So we freaked out a little since we were getting married in July and I would be 7 months if we waited. So we had a little talk with my mom and his parents and decided to move the wedding up by 4 months so I could 1-be able to fit in my dress and 2- have insurance sooner(since I will be getting on Dave's). Dave was really excited, but for the first 2 days I was in shock...I mean I have wanted a baby for the longest time like most of you know, I just figured it would not happen till next year. So far the pregnancy has been going well, I have been really queasy but have not thrown up very much THANK GOD!!! I had my first doc appt yesterday and he said everything looked good, so at dinner we decided to tell Kruz that mommy had a baby in her belly. He was so freakin excited!!! He told us he wanted a brother but he would still love a sister. He has been talking to my stomache all day and is so happy that we are having a baby. Then another great thing happened.... the Saints won their championship game and our going to the SUPERBOWL!!! The game against the Vikings was such a great game that went into overtime and the Saints won by a field goal. So Dave's parents are going to have a HUGE superbowl party, we are all looking forward to that. Lots of yummy food :)
